With a cross-functional team of engineers, purchasers and operations leaders, FleetwoodGoldcoWyard redesigned the product to save 12% in material cost without affecting the functionality of the conveyance. “This event not only affected how we attack the can conveyance market, but we learned some vital lessons that can be applied to other product lines as well.
